Terms of Service
1. About the Event
Lex Xperience 2026 is a student-led legal innovation event organized by the Lex Xperience team under the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. The event is scheduled to run from March 31st to April 5th, 2026.
2. Registration & Eligibility
By registering, you confirm that:
- The information you provided is accurate and truthful
- You are a student, young professional, or otherwise eligible attendee
- ABU students who select the discounted rate must upload a valid ABU ID card or admission letter
- Providing false information may result in cancellation of your registration without a refund
3. Ticket Pricing
- ABU Students: ₦5,000 (requires valid ABU ID verification)
- Non-ABU Attendees: ₦12,000
- Lex Innovate Pitch Add-on: ₦12,000 (optional, available after main registration)
All prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are inclusive of applicable fees.
4. Payment
All payments are processed through Paystack, a secure and trusted payment gateway. By proceeding with payment, you also agree to Paystack's terms of service. Your ticket is only confirmed upon successful payment and receipt of a confirmation email.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
If the event is cancelled by the organizers, registered attendees will be notified via email and a full refund will be processed within 14 working days.
6. Event Conduct
All attendees are expected to:
- Behave respectfully toward speakers, staff, and fellow attendees
- Comply with all venue rules and regulations
- Not engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior
- Follow all instructions from event organizers and security personnel
The organizers reserve the right to remove any attendee from the event without a refund if these standards are violated.
7. Photography & Media
By attending Lex Xperience 2026, you consent to being photographed or filmed during the event. Images and recordings may be used for promotional, educational, or social media purposes by the Lex Xperience team. If you object to being photographed, please notify a member of the organizing team at the event.
8. Intellectual Property
All content presented at Lex Xperience — including presentations, speeches, panel discussions, and workshop materials — remains the intellectual property of the respective speakers and organizers. Recording, reproducing, or distributing session content without prior written consent is prohibited.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Lex Xperience organizing team shall not be liable for:
- Any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings at the event
- Any personal injury sustained at the event venue
- Changes to the event programme, speakers, or schedule
- Any indirect or consequential losses arising from attendance or non-attendance
Attendees participate in all event activities at their own risk.
10. Event Changes
The organizers reserve the right to modify the event programme, speakers, venue, or schedule at any time. Registered attendees will be notified of material changes via email. Minor changes to the programme do not entitle attendees to a refund.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from participation in Lex Xperience 2026 shall be resolved in accordance with Nigerian law.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By completing your registration and making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
